Brent Cosgrove, P.E.
Inspection Manager
Brent joined HRST in May of 2007 and manages the inspection business group. He also performs boiler inspections, performance analysis, design reviews, failure analysis, training and other activities.
WORK EXPERIENCE
◊ Horton, Inc.—for two years, Brent designed and implemented engine cooling systems for the commercial trucking industry. In addition to solving customer reliability issues and executing improvements in manufacturing efficiency, Brent managed a $500,000 capital project to develop tooling for a complete line of next-generation engines and truck models.
◊ Major OEM for Gas Turbine HRSGs—through the four years that Brent was here, he served as a thermal-mechanical designer and lead mechanical engineer. Certain notable accomplishments include some very innovative steam separator applications, and the transient analyses needed to validate the capabilities of HRSGs designed for exceptionally aggressive burner ramping.
◊ Koch Petroleum Group—in positions as both a refinery operator and an environmental engineer, Brent has twelve years of experience in project teamwork and management, failure analysis and cost-reduction initiatives.
◊ Naval Nuclear Power—for six years, this is where Brent first gained an appreciation for steam power and boiler systems.
