Guy Thompson, P.E.

Systems Engineering

Guy joined the HRST team in the early part of 2006.  He acts as project manager on a variety of retrofit projects, carries out design reviews and performs root cause failure analysis.  Guy specializes in solving structural, stress and mechanical problems.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Major Filtration Manufacturing Company — as the Director of Sales and Business Development and as Director of Project Engineering in the business unit that supported the gas turbine industry, Guy had responsibility for all business relationships with several key customers in North America, Asia, and throughout the Pacific region.  This management role included sales, project management, engineering, field service and warranty claim activities. 

Major OEM for Gas Turbine HRSGs — working in a variety of engineering, sales and product development roles, Guy has been involved in numerous HRSG field retro-fit, construction and new product development projects.  He was instrumental in the development of many of the construction methods for new equipment and has broad experience in structural and mechanical engineering design.
