Inspection

We currently inspect over 150 boilers per year worldwide, with the majority being HRSGs.  This "hands-on" field experience, combined with our boiler design experience allows us to make good, practical recommendations. 

The information we gather on a problem during the inspection gives us the ability to offer and supply solutions.  Sometimes the solution is a quick sketch to the maintenance foreman during the inspection.  Occasionally the solution results from analysis and engineering after the inspection, where we can detail and fabricate a new custom design, and then help the client install it during a future outage. 

Client's value our ability to find and solve problems, allowing them more time to focus on other parts of the power plant during a busy maintenance outage.

Patrick Walker has worked with us for a while and we feel like we have an understanding with him.  In this case, Patrick performed an inspection for us on an HRSG and an Aux Boiler.

Patrick is easy to work with and committed to communicating to us exactly what is going on with our equipment.  What impresses me the most about Patrick are his reports.  They are easy to read and filled with lots of useful information.  I especially like being able to ask Patrick virtually any question I want; this added a level of clarification is also very helpful.

Bryan Craig performed our annual HRSG Inspection.  He was very thorough and his extensive knowledge of our system allows us to rely on Bryan to develop guidelines for our pre-planned outages. 

We have worked with Bryan for over six years now and both Bryan Craig and HRST, Inc. have given us everything we have asked for.  One of the things that impresses me most about this company is the fact that they are always available when we need them to be.

Victor Ferris completed a very thorough inspection for us and I felt strongly that there was a lot to be gained from this process.

What impressed me most about Victor was his willingness to stop by my office and break things down for me in language I could easily understand.  I would bounce technical questions off of Victor and he would politely answer each one taking as much time as I needed.  I felt like I had a personal relationship with Victor and that he was genuinely interested in helping me understand what he was doing for us.

I would certainly look forward to working with Victor, and HRST, Inc., in the future and I will definitely contact him again as our equipment requires further routine inspections.

HRST, Inc. and Brent Cosgrove performed a thorough inspection of our HRSG. Thanks to Brent’s inspection, we identified a number of repair items that we never would have discovered on our own.  What impresses me the most about HRST, Inc. is that they represent "another set of eyes" that look at our equipment from an unbiased perspective.  This approach allows their engineers to see things we might otherwise overlook or dismiss.  I have been thoroughly impressed with the work HRST has performed and I am committed to having their engineers inspect our equipment every two years on a regular basis.

We were in the middle of a major overhaul on our Unit 2 combustion turbine.  John Obermaier came in and performed an inspection with borescope. 

We appreciated what John did for us because he did a very good job of communicating what we did right and what we did wrong.  John was very self-sufficient and his report was very throrough.

It is valuable to have another set of eyes run through your equipment and point out things that we may have overlooked.  John has lots of experience doing this sort of work and we appreciated his contribution very much.

I would certainly recommend John Obermaier and HRST, Inc. to any other utility with a similar need.  We will certainly work with HRST in the near future.

Brent Cosgrove was asked to do a thorough inspection of our equipment.  I was impressed with the complete and thorough inspection process Brent used to assist us with our specific needs.
